Provider directories

We know it can be difficult to find doctors who, (a) recognize menopause, (b) understand the menopause transition, and (c) are willing to provide viable treatment options. Even physicians experiencing menopause themselves, cannot find decent menopause care!

In collaboration with redditors in both r/menopause and r/perimenopause, we have put together this directory to help our users more easily access health care resources.

Quality of care is subjective, therefore the following information does not guarantee that you will receive excellent care or even be happy with the services provided, however we hope you find a provider that suits your menopause needs.

Witch doctor?

Depending on where you live, menopause providers can include General Practitioners, Specialists, Gynecologists, Endocrinologists, Urologists, Primary Care, etc.

Below are various organizations that allow you to search for specialists in your area:

• The Menopause Society (formerly NAMS) directory - find a menopause practitioner near you (includes lists for USA, Canada, Brazil, Japan, France, New Zealand, and many more countries)
• The Pause Life - Recommended Physicians that specialize in women’s health (is not a list of personal referrals from Dr. Mary Clair Haver, but a collection of individual submissions from women worldwide who have had exceptional experience with their healtchare providers)
• Planned Parenthood - find a health center (provides menopause care in-person or telehealth)
• International Society for Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) (also includes USA, Canada, Brazil, Japan, Italy, Australia, and many more countries)
• British Menopause Society directory
• British Menopause Society - online only clinics
• Australasian Menopause Society’s directory (some provide telehealth)
• Healthy Hormones (Australia) It is free to join this service, founded by two Australian-based doctors. They provide evidence-based resources to empower and support women throughout menopause.
• Spain Menopause Society directory - La Asociación Española para el Estudio de la Menopausia (AEEM)

This is not a comprehensive list of online providers, and we do not in any way endorse these services.

Some providers listed use compounded hormones, which are not recommended as viable menopause treatment options and/or also offer proprietary products like supplements, hair removal services, etc. (A “shop” link on their site provides a clear indication of this.) Others require hormone testing, which is not necessary to diagnose or treat peri/menopause. Please use these services at your own risk.

Some take insurance, some require self-pay. Federal programs like Medicaid and Medicare may be restricted by state and/or vendor.
